Hundreds of customers will attest to it and the prestigious Washingtonian Magazine listed us among the "The Best of Washington."
We have available thousands of G.I.A. graded diamonds of superlative quality specifications. As you shop, beware of extensive diamond listings on the Internet represented as “inventory.” These are frequently borrowed lists from dealer networks marked up and listed by sellers with no location, no inventory, no diamond knowledge and no serious intent to partner with you to find that perfect stone. Success in the diamond business is closely related to inventory management. Our system balances our own inventory with that of cutting firms we are affiliated with and our brokerage pricing system produces the most competitive pricing anywhere.
Hundreds of satisfied customers can attest that there is no lower price than through our program.

"Certified Diamonds." What does this mean?
As you shop, you will hear the terms “certified,” “cert.” and “certed” as they apply to diamonds. In fact, the Gemological Institute of America (G.I.A.) “certifies” nothing! What G.I.A. does do is provide Laboratory Reports, those familiar, laminated, professional looking reports that specify various criteria of intrinsic diamond quality and cutting (make). Please note that some grading laboratories call their reports “certificates” but G.I.A., the leader in diamond grading, does not.
And while we're at it....
"Wholesale Diamonds." What does this mean?
You will also find the phase “wholesale to the public” and “wholesalers,” “importers,” “no middleman” etc. used to attempt to create an image of directness of supply. Intelligent price comparisons of like with like will quickly convince you that dealers using these tactics have started trying to deceive you before you even decide on a purchase. Can they be trusted?
"A buyer needs one hundred eyes, a seller only one…"
A diamond is an investment. Use your eyes and your brain.
Whether you are shopping for or caring for diamonds, a quality loupe is a must have. The shape of the Zeiss lens system is state of the art.
Don't settle for anything less than a Zeiss lens. You will appreciate it and enjoy it for a lifetime. Zeiss is the standard by which all others are judged. (Be sure to read "How to use a loupe in the Knowledge section.)

A Welcome Message from the President of IGS
Thank you for visiting IGSdiamonds.com, a web site with good information, ethical content and excellent resources.
Our business is structured differently than other diamond businesses. We encourage an interactive relationship and have a staffed showroom/office complete with on site mounting manufacture and design services. Our inventory system is fine tuned to keep operating costs low; the thinking person's way of offering a real better price, not a perceived one.
We will help you understand key diamond attributes that will enhance your diamond's beauty.
We prefer well informed customers and as you will see, we have filled these pages with valuable information for that purpose. You will not find a more congenial atmosphere or better prices anywhere.
Our toll free telephone number is on every web page and your e-mail is always welcome. Our quote request form will provide you with pricing for specific diamonds and/or will help you plan your budget and make price comparisons.
We are proud of our showroom. Please consider this an open invitation to visit us; there is always something interesting going on.
